Question about interview in Montreal:

I want to attend interview with my hubby, but I would have to take my daughter along. Will they let us in if she comes to? She is 1. I'm hoping someone who already interviewed might have an answer.

Kinda disapointing to see no names on the bottom of that list have any interview dates scheduled. No interviews scheduled in Montreal(Minus Cndwife) Lets hope those names get dates soon!

Hey everybody waiting I just checked when I got my interview date and it was this day last month. So be ready as I had less than 3 weeks to my interview! I hope all the June group get to finish this

Me neither . . . at this point I'm assuming that Montreal has fallen behind even further and I won't see a December appointment. How it can end up taking them 3 months to get through the June case co

Hi Folks,

My wife schedule for interview in May at Montreal consulate, I am wondering what is mean by Correspondance on interview letter not recieved. We submitted all the docs, nothing else missing.

By the way, we gonna stay in Montreal for couple of days after interview. Is it possible we can ask consulate to pickup the visas in peroson or they have the rules they only mail the visas?

I also have the same question.Is it possible to pick up the passport in person at the consulate.

I will still take the express post envelope. But I live 10 minutes away from the consulate. so wpuld prefer to pick up the passport. Does Montreal consulate allow you to pick up the passport ?

Hi J Singh,

On the interview letter they have listed items they have not received? Which items?

As for picking up the passport vs having it mailed out - that is completely up to the CO doing the interview. Some will agree to do that, some will not. Doesn't hurt to ask, but don't make plans based on that :)

My understanding was that it's merely the instructions you copied the list from -- make sure you bring them with you to the interview (so they know what business you have there), and if you received them electronically instead of by mail, be sure to print them and bring hard copy of it.

Ok, random dumb question for the day:

I plan on attending the visa interview with hubby. He is going to fly from Toronto and stay with his cousin who lives in Montreal. I plan on meeting him there. Will I have any trouble with customs/CA immigration when I get there. I always tell them I am coming to visit my hubby when I fly to Toronto, but will that be an issue since he does not live in Montreal? Thanks!

Well until the end of February you won't really know if you are scheduled for April really.

I thought I have to post on this thread as well.

I am supposed to have my interview in January 15,2010 but got it rescheduled.

I already got my medical completed and it is sealed and unopened as per instructions.

When I sent them an email in January that I am rescheduling it does not say 5 months.

I copied and paste from their automated email to me dated as follows:

RE: Re-schedule IV Appointment CASE # MTLXXXXXXX and CASE # MTLXXXXXXXXX

From: Montreal, IV (Montreal-IV-DV@state.gov)

Sent: January 6, 2010 10:00:10 PM

Q4: If I cancel my appointment when will I be rescheduled?

A: Rescheduled appointments generally occur 2 to 3 months from when we were notified of the appointment cancellation, due largely to our high volume of cases and workload. This may vary from case to case, due to visa number availability and the visa class being requested.

After getting this response I thought I would be OK for a 2-3 months wait but seems it is not what is stated here.

I am troubled if CSPA applies to me as my daughter will be turning 21 in June, 2, 2010 and she is petitioned by a USC father. Someone suggested to send them URGENT email on the heading but will it help?

Does Emailing them 2x don't have a negative impact knowing that they strictly say that " DO NOT SEND MULTIPLE EMAILS REGARDING SAME ISSUE"?
