I wasn't freaking out about the actual medical considering I've done an immigration medical before. Moreso was worried about getting on scheduled in time considering his work schedule.

Wishing everyone good luck for there interviews in Feb and March,

Looking at Trialmix list, are we the only 3 from the month of December to be scheduled for interviews ?

I hope we get a march interview ?

It's possible you'll get a March interview, yes...though since so many people were scheduled for March two weeks ago, it's impossible to have any idea if there are still dates available, or if they'll revert to scheduling in the second week of the month like they used to.

You might get your interview date assigned next week, but it's possible that it will be an April date, not a March one. I really have no idea. The recent surge in scheduling gives you reason for optimism though.

I think it is AMAZING that they have sped things up in Montreal. There is some irony though that someone like me, who is living in Canada with my spouse, gets the expedited path compared to some of our separated couples.

I have asked for a reschedule, I will definitely let you guys know what happens. Another tricky thing for this timing is the whole medical scheduling program in Vancouver with the Olympics. March 11 is really cutting things too close for us

I'm getting hubby to call in to the NVC today to see if we got an interview date yet--our case completed two days after yours!

Hi all! Got back from Montreal last night and now finally have a chance to sit down and post our review after all the celebrations have died down. We got our "welcome to the United States" speech! Overall the toughest part was waiting in that below freezing weather for 1 hour before they opened the doors but when your inside the building, its a cool summer breeze. By the way Americana, you were not the only VJ poster there that day!

The whole process is very similar to what LGG and Americana have already stated. Got there around 6:40ish, which made us the first in line (beating another couple by a mere 5 seconds) and the doors opened around 7:45am. The interview was no more than 10 minutes. The officer basically had all our papers that we submitted and we never had to even open up our folder. The bulk of the interview time was spent on the officer examining and re-examining our docs, especially domicile. The basic questions were asked like how did you guys meet, where you met, when you met, how your families know each other, what we both do for a living. A whole 1 year process done in 10 minutes!

We asked the officer if we could get the visa same or next day but he would hear none of it and kept stating "it has to be mailed out". By the experiences of other VJers, it looks like the approximate wait time is 3-4 business days after interview.

Thanks for all your help guys!! Will post when we get our visa in the mail!

Hello Everyone!

Just thought I would tell all the VJ'ers that are anxiously waiting for our interview dates that I spoke to the NVC tonight and talked with a VERY nice man named "Jim" and he said that they are issuing more interviews next week!!!!! I thought that was sooo awesome! It put my mind a bit at ease knowing that I am so close to getting the interview date. He did go on to tell me (as we ALL know) that Montreal is a very busy place right now and they are chipping away. So good luck to you all who are awaiting your date. And as promised to the nice man named "Jim"...I have put in a plug for you!
