Yes, that's correct, reg IR1/CR1 pay NVC, DCF pays on interview day.

The "$" symbol next to fee payment says it means "Payment Received" on the next page but even that's a bit vague if you're paranoid

Hmm...when our CR-1 is finally processed and my wife goes for her interview, is this something we're going to have to worry about?

I'm not sure how we prove things like that when most of them require her to actually be in the U.S. with me to get them setup.

Greg, do you live in the U.S.? If so it's not an issue, it's only an issue when the U.S. citizen is not domiciled in the U.S.

Question about passport photo's. For those of you doing EP, the passport photo's that you scanned into your computer and emailed to the NVC, are you taking those same ones to the interview? Or are you getting two new ones done?

I am taking new ones...just because I hate the pictures I scanned. I dont think it will make a difference

Question:

Um, I'm gonna enter the country on March 5th, and the interview is on the 9th. I haven't done my medical exam yet. Problem is, I have to get it done in Toronto, and I belive they are not open on Friday. They only operate on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. SO if i were to get it done on the following monday, then I would not get the results for another 2 - 3 days... meaning I would not be able to take the results to the interview on Tuesday March the 9th.

So.. what now? Is there any where in Montreal I can get my medical exam done, open on Fridays?

No, they are open:

Appointments are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m

Personally I would recommend you do it sooner. While you can go to the interview without the results and have them defer issuing the visa until they receive them - unless you don't care about being held up waiting - you should have them with you.

Thanks, yea that's the problem, its only 3 days a week.. and i'll be entering Canada on the friday.. and the interview is on the next tuesday.. according to the website, the results take 2 days to be processed. Its not really possible for me to enter the country earlier because of exams that I have going on, but I guess the only option left for me is to send them the medical exam results after the interview. How does that process work?

Yup...six months.

Worst case scenario is that they reject them and you simply have to go down to their own passport photo booth. I think someone here said it was a mere $4?
