We got our appointment scheduled also - 3/11/2010.

Baby's due 3/8/2010.

What to do? Just say screw it and wait to see when he comes out? This is quite a quandary.

Kinda disapointing to see no names on the bottom of that list have any interview dates scheduled. No interviews scheduled in Montreal(Minus Cndwife) Lets hope those names get dates soon!

Hey everybody waiting I just checked when I got my interview date and it was this day last month. So be ready as I had less than 3 weeks to my interview! I hope all the June group get to finish this

OMG This is awesome, everyone getting scheduled. But yeah, I see your quandry. Is there any way you can get an earlier date because of your wife's due date if you phone the consulate? I don't know these things...

OMG This is awesome, everyone getting scheduled. But yeah, I see your quandry. Is there any way you can get an earlier date because of your wife's due date if you phone the consulate? I don't know these things...

I've asked them about 15 times what our options are and they are thus:

"Q4: If I cancel my appointment when will I be rescheduled?

A: Rescheduled appointments generally occur 2 to 3 months from when we were notified of the appointment cancellation, due largely to our high volume of cases and workload. This may vary from case to case, due to visa number availability and the visa class being requested."

I think we're actually considering rolling the dice.

I'm now in the process of canceling the ticket I booked last night...ack...

They won't let me cancel, but will give me a credit. I'm going to take the credit for a future flight, I think. They only allow it for destinations within the U.S. unfortunately. :(

I don't care. I'm too happy to care!

Ha....I remembered you were concerned about the timing! Hubby called the NVC last night inquiring about the possibility of delaying CR-1 interview because I wanted to have the baby in Canada. They responded that we can call once the interview has been scheduled to reschedule at a later date.

Also, he asked on my behalf if the x-ray being either deferred or exempt, and if it was deferred, would I have to do it later and as a result the visa be delayed. Unfortunately, the agent didn't know anything about it and told us to refer to the physician doing the medical.

My understanding with regard to the x-rays is they simply don't make you do them if you're knocked up.
