PS We drove across the border in Houlton, ME and got super-hassled and I ended up with a temporary B2 that ends in February

My best friend also has a CR1 pending and she got refused by the same officer Booo!

Also, how long does it usually take for the NVC to complete the case after they actually receive the paperwork. They received our DS 230 packet on Dec 31st although the IVR says Jan 9th. The IVR says it takes 6-8 weeks to process the paperwork. Its hard to tell from the timeline how long it usually takes. I know the IVR cushions the time quite a bit (I hope anyway).
