I never belived what the operators at NVC told me!! They told me they finished doing the interviews on such a such date for MTL, but others were told different. I think they just make it up.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Kinda disapointing to see no names on the bottom of that list have any interview dates scheduled. No interviews scheduled in Montreal(Minus Cndwife) Lets hope those names get dates soon!

Hey everybody waiting I just checked when I got my interview date and it was this day last month. So be ready as I had less than 3 weeks to my interview! I hope all the June group get to finish this

Me neither . . . at this point I'm assuming that Montreal has fallen behind even further and I won't see a December appointment. How it can end up taking them 3 months to get through the June case co

How did u get an interview date in Feb? i tired calling u and i have my case complted before u and they told me i didnt have any interview

I'm not really sure how they qualify them.

When did you actually send in your I-130? and when is the last time you called NVC - today?

my I-130 got approved on Dec 6, 2006.. so i sent it last sept. 06 and i called today.. the lady said u had an intview and before she could finish saying interview she said no u dont and she tired to get a supervisor and than she told me she couldnt find out and told me to call back in a couple of weeks.../

Ok, that sounds really really weird. I wonder why she started to say it then went and got a supervisor....very strange. I would call back and ask to speak to a supervisor - they will put you through to one and the supervisors actually do know what they are talking about.

okay im going to call now.. so just ask them to speak to a supevisor and they should allow me to speak to one?

Yes, I had to do that when they were sitting on my file at NVC - the operator said 'she won't tell you anything that I haven't' - I said 'I need to speak with a supervisor'.

Just keep saying that and good luck :thumbs:

werid i called agin.. and they told me that they dont have an interview date??? i told them someone there told me i did.. and they said we would only know the 2nd week of january...
