You know what? That would SO rock right out. I would love it. Why the hell not? Do the math for me would you? How many CR1/IR1s do you think there could be in Canada right now? IF there are 15 done on this site there must be about 60 or 70 Canada wide. That's my math...

They could totally do that in a month. If not December, then January. Why not?

Preaching to the choir! That's why I created that "Reasons For Optimism" thread that keeps falling down the page.

The math is good, as is the prospect of a mass scheduling of CR-1s.

Yup, got this from them last week.

Dear Mr.

This is in response to your email to the U.S. Consulate in Montreal, Canada regarding the status of your immigrant visa application. Your email was forwarded to the Visa Office, Public Inquiries Division in Washington, DC for our response.

The U.S. Consulate General in Montreal is facing a backlog of immigrant visa cases which affects their ability to schedule immigrant visa cases. This backlog was caused by an unforeseen and unpreventable staffing shortage. The Consulate is making every effort to reduce the backlog.

For future inquiries you may wish to contact us directly. Visa specialists are available weekdays from 8:30 to 5:00 at 202-663-1225.

We trust this information may be useful.

Sincerely,

Public Inquiries Division
