Kinda disapointing to see no names on the bottom of that list have any interview dates scheduled. No interviews scheduled in Montreal(Minus Cndwife) Lets hope those names get dates soon!

Hey everybody waiting I just checked when I got my interview date and it was this day last month. So be ready as I had less than 3 weeks to my interview! I hope all the June group get to finish this

Me neither . . . at this point I'm assuming that Montreal has fallen behind even further and I won't see a December appointment. How it can end up taking them 3 months to get through the June case co

Edited our completion date. According to NVC it is 10/1/09, not 10/12/09. 11 days closer to interview! YES! :thumbs:

Hi All: Just a question that came to me: I have 3 children (older) who are not moving with me(university is cheaper here in Quebec), but do I still list them on the DS-230 anyway?

Quick question for you all. After numerous calls with the NVC I'm still not sure how the scheduling process works (and I get different answers depending on who I talk to at when I call).

Who decides who gets interviewed?

I've been told either, MTL tells the NVC which cases they want to do and the NVC schedules the time or MTL says how many interview spots they have and the NVC decides who goes. In one phonecall, I was also told that your information doesnt automatically go to MTL, rather waits until the NVC is ready to schedule.

Would love to hear what others have been told.

This isn't an answer, per se, but I've received two identical emails from the NVCMontreal email address (one on Friday, one this morning) telling me I'll be contacted when an interview is available. The fact that it came from the NVCMontreal address rather than the NVCInquiry email address would seem to indicate that it is actually a division in Montreal that will determine this.

I could be totally wrong...plus, I did Electronic Processing, so for all I know it could be different for EP folks than otherwise.

Quick question for you all. After numerous calls with the NVC I'm still not sure how the scheduling process works (and I get different answers depending on who I talk to at when I call).

Who decides who gets interviewed?

I've been told either, MTL tells the NVC which cases they want to do and the NVC schedules the time or MTL says how many interview spots they have and the NVC decides who goes. In one phonecall, I was also told that your information doesnt automatically go to MTL, rather waits until the NVC is ready to schedule.

Would love to hear what others have been told.

I think if you did DCF or electronic processing, the consulate in Montreal will schedule your interview, but if you filed with the NVC and processed through them, then the NVC does the scheduling. If the NVC does do the scheduling, I think that MTL tells them how many slots they have and the NVC decides who to schedule since the whole file sits with them. After they schedule you for an appt, they then forward the file to MTL. Overall, how they decide who gets an appt and when seems to be a great mystery.

I think what happens, from what I have read, is that Montreal tells NVC they have X number of interview slots available and NVC does the scheduling but i'm sure Montreal must have some say in that - as in who.

The one thing I do know is that Montreal doesn't have your file until about a week or two before your interview - I know this because they (Montreal) told me - Oh and as I mentioned the other day, I would be happy to add you to this table, but I don't know what date your NOA2 was approved.

Well, We still didnt get ours yet so Im still waiting called DOS this morning and the nice lady said we were ready for our interview just they havent scheduled it yet.

Yup...pretty much par for the course, I think. I'm not sure how much actual info they have at NVC after Case Complete.

PS. I was wondering, you all... have you seen the list of us who have completed? it looks as though Montreal is going to replace one giant backlog with another... what say you? It just doesnt' look good at all when we STILL have people from June and July waiting....

Anyway, someone who is able to focus a little clearer might be able to answer this for me/us....

I mailed out my ds-230 last Tuesday, hope i don't get any rfe's. Im thinking my case could be complete before the holiday's. Very optimistic that my interview will be around the Spring break. We are stuck with Grandma Montreal, they need to pick up the pace and start handing out CR-1 Interview
