Hey fellow CR 1's

I was wondering if anyone who has gone through the process can add to my list of things to bring to the interview just so I know Im not forgetting anything.

-Passport

-Interview Letter

- 2 - US passport size pics

- Xpress post Envelope

- Medical Results/ Xray

- Any documents requested (In my case, Letter indicating BC cannot be reproduced and an Affidavit of Support from my parents indicating I am their child)

- Proof of Relationship: Travel itineraries, Wedding pictures and other random pictures

- Photocopy of forms submitted

Please let me know If im missing anything. Thanks a bunch :)

Looks good CanAm - I don't know how many years of tax returns you sent to NVC, but if it is only 1 you should take the other 2 years with you as well. Although you can't get a copy of your BC from the hospital, you also can't get one from any government office?

Yep I have Tax returns for 2006, 2007, 2008 and some letters from the bank showing Savings etc. I feel pretty confident of all the documents.

For the Birth Cert I have a letter stating how they cannot give it to me and an Affidavit of Support from my parents. I also have old school documents that say who my parents are etc (which I think can be the secondary document). I did the most I could, so even if I get denied or what ever, I don't see what I could do more.

So nervous.

Also, I have been reading about some people having problems at the interview with Proof of Domicile. What is that about?

My husband (the petitioner) is living in the US so do we need to show proof of domicile??

No, it doesn't apply to your Husband since he is already living there.

I don't understand that much about getting birth certificates from India - the only thing I was kind of wondering about is that you said you had a letter from the hospital, stating they cannot issue a copy and the instructions say you are supposed to get it from a government registry-type office - my only concern would be that they may ask you why you didn't try.

But again, I don't know the details.

HHmmm......I see Canam is bringing wedding pics. Anyone heard of a married couple with a child being asked for evidence for marriage? like pics, etc...

I'm bringing a few wedding pics to show that there was a ceremony incase they ask. The rest of the pica are just from random visits . I feel like I should have more than little. That probably won't even ask to see them. But u never know.

Yeah no harm in bringing them. At least then you've got them if they ask....think I'll do the same....better safe than sorry

I'm wondering if it matters if pictures are printed on photo paper or if its ok if they are printed on regular paper. The pics I submitted with the I-130 were just two pictures on each sheet of regular 8 1/2 X 11 paper from a color printer. I was hoping to save money and use those for the interview.
