Well, GuerayTavo, the simple fact of the matter is that THEY DON'T CARE. There is nothing you or I could ever say that would ever make most of these people posting EVER have compassion for people who are illegal here. You can talk until you're blue in the face and nothing will change their minds.

I'd rather expend my time and energy advocating for those who find themselves in the US illegally than go back and forth with armchair philosphers, economists, and ethicists. Which is what I do for a living, by the way. So I should probably stop yakking on an Internet forum and do my job!

Did they accidently take a wrong turn ... then wake up one morning and discover they had invaded the USA by mistake?

Guess these illegals need your assistance finding their way back to where their home country.

Yeah, at Texas/California/Arizona/Canada/Florida....

:lol::wacko:

I was talking about the issues of poverty in their country, which is what they are trying to run away from.

If it wasn't such an issue I think there would be less people dying to get over here. Money is an evil thing.

sot it's ok if they export their poverty to the usa? and why is their government becoming the problem of the usa?

For the same reason that the problems in Iraq are becoming the problems of neighboring countries, i.e., they're neighbors. I agree wholeheartedly that it's primarily Mexico's problem, but their problems don't exist in a vacuum. If there was a trade policy we could change that would make it feasible for some of the illegals to make a living at home (we're not talking enriching, we're talking surviving), wouldn't you think that was a good change to make? I don't think the border should be open. I've never advocated that. But I think that just saying, "so, they're broke, that means we should build a bigger fence" is at best a temporary solution.

Correctomundo!! We would benefit with increased trade with our neighbors. But unfortunately mexico's greatest natural resource is labor and we are not trading that, we are importing it. More correctly, they are exporting it. What I am waiting for is the mass exodus of illegals on a massive scale. Would all you "advocates" be so calm if 1 or 2 million crossed the border in one day say in El Paso or San Diego? What then?

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensedregistered pharmacist". (because somebody gives a damn)

was this the fault of the mexican government or the usa? should we start invading canada now that their dollar is higher than ours?

Well suggesting a trade agreement isn't exactly synonymous with a military invasion.

As to whether its the fault of the Mexican govt for not properly managing their economy - I'm sure that's true for the most part. However it doesn't change the fact that from a practical perspective illegal immigration is really a shared problem.

NavarreMan...slow down there, fellow. It sounds like you're whipping yourself up into quite the frenzy over my comment.

You've yet to hear one of us "advocate" explain anything to you because, at least in my case, I try to stay far, far away from people like you. And I imagine you like to stay far, far away from "my kind" as well!

And I'm thankful for that, as I bet you are!

What exactly is that supposed to mean, NavarreMan? Isn't that a slightly inappropriate comment?

Then think more carefully before putting in print which of our laws are good enough for you and which you can ignore because they are inconvenient.

Who cares about whose fault it is? Who said anything about invading? Blame it all on Mexico if it makes you happy; it's still becoming our problem, and there's more ways to solve it than putting up a fence that covers less than half of the border.

oh i see, so their government can fark up non-stop and we pay the price because no one cares. yes it's our problem by proxy, but enough steel along the border will solve a majority of it.

5th column? Please explain!
