There are several regulations for dogs. I'm sure someone else will post the exact information, but be prepared for:

1. Having a vet check the pup where you are, update vaccinations and get international health certificate.

2. Hvaing pup checked at POE.

3. SOMETIMES pets need quarantine.

Go online to Customs and Border Protection and follow the links... I'm sure they have the precise info somewhere. We crossed with our birdies and it was a production worthy of an Oscar  took longer to inspect the birds than to inspect me LOL

Think about when you/ the pup will be travelling; many airlines will only take pets when it is not too hot for them (usually October- March, but depends where you are travelling to and from) as they may be left in the hold of the plane or on the tarmac for hours. You will also need a pet carrier aproved for travel (ie big enough, sturdy enough) your vet and/ or airline should be able to advice.
