Hello,

on the Example form of the 864, part 5, it shows to put a "0" in the section c. Surely I should put a "1" for being married and my spouse?

Any advice please let m eknow.

David

wow, we have already recieved our Biometrics appointments. It is only 2 1/2 weeks away.

It seems to be moving rather quickly.

This is great.

If you are sponsoring your spouse, your spouse should be included in item "a" (points back to part 3, item 10), and should not be included in "c". Don't count any household member twice. Item "c" is under the category, household members not being sponsored in this affidavit.

Why does this one confuse people?

She is the IMMIGRANT, and is not counted as WIFE. Later if you sponsor someone else like a child or her parent she would be counted as WIFE.

So count her on "a" NOT "c"

dont put 1 in "c" , put 0 . Coz if u put 1 there ,your total household size("h") will be more than the actual (cause u'll have to add the number in the boxes).. Your wife should only be in "a"......

Put "0" in section C, and 1 for section A I do believe There is an example of this form filled out on this website under forms or guides for AOS, it is accurate and helpful to review and look at.
