got NOA2 by mail.but USCIS online said case still pending?

On Nov. 01 we got our Approval for petition through mail..

my honey woke me up...early in the morning..cuz we usually left our webcam on even sleeping so we can automatically see eachother everytime we are both online..i was still sleepy but respond to his rushing buzzess!haha then he told me to look at his hands, what was he holding..i said "UNITED STATES of AMERICA"?.. then he said "you have been approved..US Fuckin A Baby"..hahahaha

but im confused, because i am always checkin our case status online and till now it still said to be pending?? anybody knows or have the same issue?? :unsure:

wuhOooOOoo, we can now breathe a lil...after a longwait for it...we're praying for things to move faster.it would be a nice xmas present for us all....godbless and goodluck to all... :dance:

Don't worry about the online status. Ours didnt update for a long time after our approval. Congrats!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! to you both!! Ours as well actually NEVER updated to Approval. We only knew we were approved because of the Hard copy of the NOA2 that i recieved in the mail so nothing to worry about. I wish you both all the best on the rest of your journey :thumbs::thumbs::dance::dance::yes::yes:

12/21/2006--Cairo Embassy recieved packet 3.

2/21/2007---Packet 4 recieved.

3/12/2007---Interview (He Passed)!

3/12/2007---Administrative Processing begins.............God please help me get through this!

7/17/2007---Our 2 Year Anniversay!!!

10/23/2007--7 months and 2 weeks of A/P and still waiting..........God help me!

4/22/2008---2nd Interview ( keep us in your prayers)

4/22/2008--He was approved for the Visa 2-3 weeks until he recieves it in the mail lets hope so!!

6/03/2008--VISA IN HAND! Thank you god!

Yeah, don't worry about what the online status says. The same thing happened to me and a week later the website updated. Congrations on your approval! :thumbs:

Congrats !!! :thumbs: Mine is opposite to yours. USCIS website shows approval notice sent. No hardcopy in mail yet. I guess an approval is an approval no matter...But, I would rather have the one in the mailbox!!! :yes:

From the USCIS web site below...I think they are having several issues with the web site and Chris emails too...

Q : I have received my receipt notice, but when I check my case online it does not appear. How do I get my case added to the system, so I can check on the progress of my case? NEW

We have had an unprecedented number of applications filed in the last few months. Our efforts to enter these applications into our systems have caused a delay in the transfer of information from our case control system to the Case Status Online system. We are seeing delays of up to three to four weeks between receipting of your application and its status being available online. We are reviewing solutions to resolve the situation as soon as possible.

Congrats on the approval :thumbs: The approval NOA is the important document so don't worry about what the online reports. Make sure you hang onto it, you will need a copy of the NOA for AOS. Good luck :thumbs:

Congratulations! I wonder how many people this happens to. USCIS has such an old system. They really need to go to BestBuy.

22 Jun 05 - We met in a tiny bar in Williamsburg, Va. (spent all summer together)

27 May 06 - Sasha comes back for a 2nd glorious summer (spent 8 months apart)

01 Jan 07 - Jason travels to Moscow for 2 weeks with Sasha

As if this process is not screwed up enough, the online status is the only thing to depend on....i check it like 1 million times a day...i got my RFE sent it in and got touches 3 days in a row...well its been dead ever since and to see that i might be approved and not even know it...NOT FAIR AT ALL!!!!!!!!!

Damn does this agency need fixing!!!!!!!!!!!!! :angry:

yeah...they definitely needs some fixin! its hard for people specialy for those who havent heard about this petitons, k visas etc. we probably rely on this online status checking thingy...almost everyday...only to find out that it hasnt been updating well and always wrong for giving us the updates!..although we got our approval this doesnt mean we are soon to be with eachother...thats the sad part but it will be more easier or lighter on us if we know we are checking the right and reliable site.. :thumbs:
