I sent all required paperwork in (I-129F) . I just received my paperwork back today. They stated all signatures had to be originals, and to sign and resubmit. Ok, all signatures were originals signed in black ink as stated. Looking at my signature, it is the same color as the printer ink, buy NOT a copy. Will they accept my signature in blue ink? I don't know any other way to make ut look REAL. Thanks

Same thing happened to me! Dam printers are to good now and you can hardly tell the difference unless you can see the shine of the ball pen ink.

To me it's all BS but you have to "play" the stupid game USCIS plays.

Use red ink!! Kidding! I sent back with blue and it flew.

I used blue ink too. I never saw anything about black ink... I work at a University and it's our policy to use blue ink when we sign anything... I think we do that because it stands out better against black printer ink. I don't know... so much red tape!!

Im just a little confused about what signatures.......there are four copies of 325A but with carbon paper. Do you sign the top copy and its all good or do you have to sign each copy individually? Then you sign the 129F itself.........and sign the letter of intent to wed.

More concerned with the 325A "carbon signature". Is that ok?

I believe you should sign all 4 copies of the G325, the I-129F and the letter of intent. Also the back of pictures and stuff.

I signed everything. Ok, not everything but very very close to it. My packet contained...

  • Check (obviously signed :P)
  • Cover Letter --signed
  • I-129F and supplement for question 18 --last page of I-129F signed and supplement signed
  • Statement of Intent to Marry (beneficiary and petitioner) --signed
  • All 4 sheets of G-325A including supplement for petitioner (for petitioner and beneficiary) --signed (12 signatures, 8 for me and 4 for fiance)
  • Passport style photo --didn't sign anything here, just labeled with names
  • Copy of ALL pages of my passport --signed the first page because I wrote "I verify this is an accurate photocopy of the original passport, bla bla bla"
  • Cover Letter for Evidence of having met --signed as well for similar statement as that for passport
  • Actual evidence of having met --didn't sign anything here
So yea... I signed almost every sheet of paper. You might not have any supplements to add to your packet and therefore wouldn't need to sign those... and I don't know if I needed to write statements as to the accuracy of the copies and then sign those statements, but it seemed like the right thing to do as I was putting together my packet (I think I read somewhere on here about someone else doing it). As to the 'carbon copy' thing. I'm with MR2nice on using the .pdf file. If you fill in the top one, the bottom 3 fill in automatically. Then you can print it and sign each individual sheet.

I hope this has helped! Good luck! I know everything seems really confusing... it'll get easier with time and study! :)

What? that's almost laughable!!! i had to scan documents for signatures when i worked in mortgages, and every now and then it is hard to tell if something is printed but all you have to do is wave it back and forth in front of the lights to see that its in real ink... i think the entire 7 months i did this i only had one case that i wasn't entirely certain about...

i think if u press hardley with the pen when u sign they wont say that it is not original because when u press with it will make trace on the back of the paper - and this is the only way that make them sure if it is real or not

i'm so sad if they will deal with ur case from the beginig - i can't believe that - i hope u will approve soon and that wont affect on ur case
