My wife's AOS went smoothly, but on my step daughter's AOS we hit a couple of bumps along the way. at her AOS interview on Oct 11th things things seemed ok till the vaccinations came up. on the vaccination supplement we submitted with her I-485, her vaccinations had not yet been completed. We showed the IO her vaccination record showing they now were completed, but she didn't look at it. She handed us a letter dated Oct 4th, which we never received in mail, saying we needed to submit another I-693 vaccination supplement.

the next week we went to a Civil Surgeon for a new vaccination supplement showing her vaccinations had been completed, then took it back to the local office.

then waited for the approval email.... nothing thru today. then decided to check her status on USCIC website and saw that it had been updated.

On November 1, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status...

The visa and AOS journey may have been a long process, but it's worth it. my daughter's welcome letter arrived yesterday. I handed her the letter and asked her to read. her expression of joy and smile as she read very word is one of those moments I'll always treasure. :D
