How about a DFW-ish VJ'er meet-up?

Seeing the other threads about recent VJ suppers makes me want to start one around my neck of the woods. Anyone interested? Any other VJ'ers in DFW or anywhere near here? We live in Fort Worth, but the meeting doesnt necessarily have to be here, we could set it up anywhere within driving distance.

I'm in Corpus so Dallas is a bit of a drive for me (7.5 hrs), I might be interested if it were a bit closer.

Other than that, I will be moving to England the first week of December. So closer and soon. I will keep an eye on this thread to see what happens

There's a DSW shoe warehouse 10 minutes from my house, we can have the party there!

I kinda figured folks' schedules would start filling up soon. But Ill keep bumping the thread to see what kind of response we get. If push comes to shove, we can always move this shindig to January. It never hurts to plan early.

One question that comes to mind ... how far are folks willing to travel for this? Id like to find a location that's workable for as many peeps as possible, but I dont want to put a bunch of people out. I cant imagine 2 couples being gung-ho about driving for 7 or 8 hours just to meet one other couple who drive 30 minutes.

I would deffinantly be up for a DFW get together if I could get a 3 day weekend at work (it's busy season here and January is VERY busy)

But I'm up for a Florida get together anytime I'm in Miami, so come on down!

So lets throw some dates out here to consider. Between now and the end of the year (not including this coming weekend, because Im sure its much too soon for everyone to make arrangements) we've got the following weekends to choose from: 11/17 (skip Thanksgiving weekend), 12/1, 12/8, 12/15, and then 12/22 and 12/29 but I imagine those are too close to Christmas and New Years and most everyone will be AFK.

If none of these dates are workable, we can just bump it into the new year. But Im crossing my fingers that we can work something out for 2007

Any Sat. would be the same for me really.... Still waiting for my SO and in the mean time don't have a social life that can't be put on hold for a little trip home to DFW Just let me know the dates and I will see if I can get a plane ticket.
