The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Haha - well my mum went out to Asda and now I don't even know when she is getting back so I can't even think about cooking dinner - she left hours ago!!! I'm starving!! I mean I know I am on a diet but I'm meant to eat at least *something*... Oh well - back to playing on my DS I guess :luv:

Huh. There's a TON of things about Scotland I miss, but haggis...well I can really take or leave it. Think I miss a real shepherd's pie or a real Scottish pub more.

Huh. There's a TON of things about Scotland I miss, but haggis...well I can really take or leave it. Think I miss a real shepherd's pie or a real Scottish pub more.

hmmmm now you mention it...yes I'll miss my wee village pub with it's own brewery on the side!

Definitely. There are a few pubs here where I live that come close, but there's still no comparison. One is an English pub, and it's owned by a real genuine Brit. He's got all the right drinks, the menu is right on, but there's just something missing in the atmosphere. Then there's the Irish pub that's owned by an American woman who spent something like 20 years in Ireland. She's got the atmosphere down to a tee, but her menu is a little lacking and because of stupid California liquor laws she's not allowed to sell whiskey. :huh: Imagine if you will an Irish pub that doesn't sell whiskey. I guess the state decided that there are enough bars in the area that serve whiskey and they'll only give out so many licenses. So until one of them goes out of business, she's stuck serving everything but.

Are you sure they don't sell *whisky*... It's all in the spelling :lol: There is a huge difference between a pub and a bar - I don't recall seeing any in the local area near Yucaipa but I know there is an English pub in Palm Springs so might have to frequent that - I wonder if they do quiz nights... :lol:
