nine couples got their NOA1s on July 19; there are only 2 still waiting for an NOA2... for both, the beneficiary is Australian ;)

I suspect a conspiracy...

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Didn't you know? All australians have to wait for the extra 2 week background check to clear. Something about Britain shipping their convicts there....

August 1st, 2008 - Entry to the US, TOGETHER AT LAST!

October 3rd, 2008 - Our Wedding Day

October 31, 2008 - Sent Adjustment of Status documents

December 5, 2008 - Biometrics appointment

January 13, 2009 - Travel Document approved

January 21, 2009 - Employment Authorization approved

April 23, 2009 - Green Card approved

I'm right around you too. I never did figure out what date to use outside of the instructions on here. I have many NOA1 dates to pick from:

Received at the NSC: July 16

NOA1 "received date": July 17

Received date according to USCIS website: July 20 (possibly when received by CSC)

NOA1 "notice date": July 23

y'know, at the moment, I just can't believe that... I KNOW it, but I can't see it, do you know what I mean? everything about the States just seems like a dream; I have no context in which to make plans, and there's just so much I can't envisage... it just seems like something I talk about, but which is never going to happen :(

I know exactly how you feel - I think what is worse is that I *know* I am getting married on Feb 11 one way or another. But I can't book my tickets. I can't book my honeymoon. I don't even know if I will have to cancel this whole damn process and start over... so yeah - limbo really does suck - waiting around, putting your life on hold and hoping that soon things might work out ok...

Yeah - VSC really did pick up pace...

I just counted 17 for CSC, 41 in total

the week ends on Sunday, but we call it on Monday evening (London time) to give people a chance to update timelines and so on :)

Well last week is up to 23, so I guess stragglers keep updating so we can never have an accurate count until much later... in any case the purpose of this thread was to help us keep our mind off the wait right? I don't know about you but the wait is really starting to drag on me now. I can hardly believe its December finally, it seemed to take forever...

the purpose of this thread was to keep our minds off the wait, yes, but also just to have a bit of fun with the whole process... Og knows it's not that much fun on its own :blink:
