Visa And Passport Numbers

Well, after some bumps in the road we have finally received her Visa into her new passport!!! I hate to admit it but the passport was more difficult. Now after further review of the visa they have placed her old passport number on the VISA And they knew she had to come back with a new and valid passport I'm going to email the Embassy the problem and question this possible mistake It is a pain to go back to the Embassy since it is a 4hour trip one way for her and will cost extra money to get her there again, I hope we can Fed Ex. I don't know what the Visa should have as to information. What do others that have just received have typed in theres??? The correct passport number should be on the VISA correct?To match the passport they have. I'm still going to email and get there respone, can anyone give me some thought if this is correct or incorrect??? I know everyone is from different Embassy's but at least it will help with my email to them that I think they have made a BIG MISTAKE.

I looked at my wife's K1 visa and it doesn't have her passport number on it? Is that what you are asking about? I assume the Passport number they use is somthing else - I never ever checked it either :lol: And she is here! Don't worry be happy! Good Luck

That was my first thought, and I checked my first passport and my current one and the numbers are different. This one may be need to be ansrewed as per the Kazakhstan Embassy. I just wanted some idea of what other Visa's had or don't have before I compose my email. I most be polite no matter if it is a mistake or not. Or no one will be leaving

Usually visas are stamped into the passport as well was it not stamped into her new passport? I cant see this being a big problem. I used to be LPR in South Africa my residence permit was stamped in my passport. When i renewed my passport i just carried the old passport with the residence stamp with me and never had a problem. Perhaps the number you are looking at is her visa number?

My wife only has one passport (this is the only one she has ever had) so the number in the the visa stamp where it says passport number has to be some other thing that they refer to - Or My wife is here under an assumed name/passport and she just got approved for Green card also Good Luck

i have looked my K-1 and K-2 visas and they have passport number of my current passport where they are attached(my sons photo attached on my passport)

Please can you fill in your timeline it is very important for the statistics section of this forum. Its good that you have put details in the signature but the timeline section is more important thank you

here is what will work the quickest...call them..i think the days are tuesdays and thursday...see if you can talk to jeffrey, the consulate head...if not, the interviewr..e-mails are answered 2 x a week only..so don't get anxious..the k1 visa is a stamp with your fiancee photo...almaty is pretty cooperative..

Thanks for the tip on calling them but they also email be back the same day or in the same hour of emailing them during our night. Check YOUR Visa when you are giving it, and make sure the information is CORRECT
