I had my biometrics for AOS and EAD done on 11/28/2006, I received my EAD in February 2007. I am still waiting for any news on my AOS case. Today I received mail from USCIS telling me I have a biometrics appointment on 11/16/2007 for my AOS application. Anybody else been called in for another round of biometrics almost a year after they were already taken? I will call USCIS on Monday to see what info I can get from them and otherwise I'll just go to the appointment, but I think it's just weird that out of the blue I get another appointment letter.....I rather had seen it be my approval letter.....lol

Does it say biometrics appointment or fringerprints appointment? What is the code number in the right hand corner is it a 1,2, or 3. One is for fingerprints only

three is for fingerprints, photo and signature and two is for photo and signature i think. Anyway my wife recieve mail from USCIS in middle of OCT saying her fingerprints expired and she had her biometrics done in Jan 06 for AOS and it was a code three i looked on stamped form that means it was fingerprints, photo and sigature. Now yesterday she went in for code 1 only fingerprints . Look on Receipt from USCIS! p.s in a few months it would of been two years for my wife since fingerprints.

Sorry your AOS case is taking so long to complete. :crying: (It's almost time to renew your EAD right?)

I have heard of others in the process a long time, they were requested to get annual renewals of the biometrics done, too. That seems ridiculous to me because, um, are our fingerprints going to change over time?!

Well at least you know they have not forgotten about you altogether. Good luck with an approval soon!:thumbs:

hi! Fingerprints expire so if I were you I would go, better safe than sorry. In my case I moved and put in a change of address but never got the appointment to go for the 2nd fingerprint and the denied my husband case. Although I check the status of the case online often, call the reps. and on 3 occasion have gone to an infopass. They never informed us that he needed to get fingerprinted again, all we heard from them is that the case is still being process. Please go to your appointment.

WELL maybe it is a good sign, that they are going to start working on your case again, even though it is truly sad that a year or more goes by and fingerprints do not change. Good luck
