Can I apply for a job while waiting for my SSN to arrive in my mail?

If you are planning on applying for jobs using a resume you can while you wait - otherwise if applying via an employer's application they may question why this portion is blank - some people leave this blank and write "Available Upon Request" as a form of privacy/identity-theft-prevention which is not a bad idea (they only provide the number if they are hired). So the answer is yes - as long as you have it by the time an employer hires you (as they will need this to report your taxes). :thumbs:
