The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

09/26/2008 - AOS transferred to CSC

09/29/2008 - AOS touched (took out envelope at CSC and put in new pile)

10/03/2008 - AOS touched (probably that RFE coming soon!!!!)

Where is NVC located? I wonder if it would be easier if we just drove up to the centers and delivered the package to NVC ourselves. :unsure:

Hi to all! :blink: I have gone from doing the happy dance to wondering, "#######!!!!" I received the letter in the mail from NVC on DEC 7th dated DEC 3rd saying our petition would be sent to the embassy within a week...today is DEC 25th (Happy HoHoHo btw to all!) and it is still sitting there as of last week before they closed for the holidays!!! Now I know I am no rocket scientist, but the difference between a week and 22 days is quite big!! Argggggggh I'm going to pull all my hair out and be bald at our wedding!!! :help: I hope everyone else is having better luck. Ohhhhhhhh Samir and Erin should be together now...he was flying to the states yesterday or today. Woohoo. Congrats you two!!! :dance:

6/21/07 - I-129F Sent : transferred to CSC at some point...

7/12/07 - Received date as shown on NOA1 Hardcopy

7/18/07 - NOA1

7/21/07 - Check FINALLY Cashed!!!

7/24/07 - Finally got receipt number off the back of cancelled check!

11/23/07 - Our first ever touch!

11/27/07 - Touched on website

11/28/07 - NOA2!!!!!!!!

I-129f was approved in 160 days from your filing date.

12/21/07 - Received at NVC and assigned case number!

12/27/07 - Case forwarded to USEM

01/04/07 - Case received by USEM

02/25/08 - Scheduled St. Luke's Medical Appointment 7:00 AM

03/03/08 - Interview at USEM APPROVED

Called NVC just now, usual response 2-4 weeks..now I'm on hold with DOS. If nvc is in new hampshire, why does it need to take 2-4 weeks for them to receive from Vermont? arrrgh :angry:

It doesn't...it only takes forever from CSC because they wait till they fill a crate to send them out. NVC may have it, but since yours was just approved last Thursday, give them a little time to receive it. It was probably mailed out to NVC on Friday, but all federal agencies were closed on 12/24 (only open for essential personal and NVC is not essential) & 12/25. They may have it logged in by tonight or tomorrow. Be glad yours was at VSC and not CSC, otherwise you'd be waiting 3-5 weeks for them to even receive it :)

Hmmm... I used my EAC number for DOS and they said they don't have that receipt number in their system and that I should call NVC. I'll wait til friday and call again :wacko:

NVC should be essential...these visas are essential to alot of us!

NVC should be essential...these visas are essential to alot of us!

I feel the same way, but as a gov't employee who IS essential, I don't get those same days off...must be nice.
