I am happy to report that we made it in and out of the NVC stage this week. They got the package on Dec. 10, and sent it out on Dec. 12. Finally!! As you can see, we had been approved Oct. 29th....so what's that, like, something like 51 days after approval before they got it!! I want to say that "We're in the home stretch now", but I know it's just the next step of "Hurry up and wait." I actually had forgotten how to update my time line.

Omg Congratulations! Finally :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: Really unbelievable....I believe CSC is happy with their new "mail contractor" D´oh!

I've given up trying to figure out exactly how the NVC 'manages' our petitions and information about them. I'm pretty sure dead chickens and tea leaves are involved (no offense to chickens, alive or dead, or to tea leaves for that matter). I called them on Tuesday and they had no information, and then Natasha received an email saying they had it so I called and they said they got it on Wednesday. It all seems so random as far as timing and sequencing goes. I'm sure yours will turn up any day - of course, whether or not the NVC will actually know they have it is an entirely separate matter!

:help: Please help me....I'm really curious as to how one will know

when his/her case is already being shipped to NVC? Will we get another

letter from the service center (CSC in my case) advising us that our case is being

forwarded to NVC?

When it's with NVC already can we check our "status" like we can while our

papers is still with the service center (USCIS.GOV)? Or should we wait to check our status

till after a new case number is assigned?

I'm curious coz we just got our NO2 last Dec. 11, 2007 and im clueless as to what will

happen next...

Please help me.

Thank you.

Hi Debz,

Thank you very much for the quick and informative reply.

I'll try to call that sometime next week. Afraid that i might be calling too early (we've just gotten

the NOA2 3 days ago).

Have a great day!

Or call NVC (the number is on your NOA2 hardcopy) but they most likely wont receive it for a couple of weeks after the approval :) Good luck

And Congratulations to all the new couples that were already processed by NVC :dance::dance::dance:
