June and July Filers - NOA2 to NVC

I received my NOA1 of August 1, but I have yet to touched even once, I hope that is good news...no RFEs.

looking at your timeline I wouldn't worry yet. There are lots of people before you still waiting. Don't fret just yet.

I reckon a flurry of NOA2's are heading July filers way. CSC been doing quite good averaging 3-4 weeks earlier than VJ estimated date. VSC.......well less said about them the better (and to think I was so depressed to find I'd be filing at CSC at the start)

the NVC phone line is a nightmare....12mins on hold. oh well, at least they assured me no progress has been made!!

So how long is it taking ppl to get a letter from NVC after they get the NOA2??

It can be different for everyone, but mine was like this...

11-05 received NOA2 in mailbox from CSC

11-23 received letter in mailbox from NVC

And mine was:

10-22 received NOA2 in mailbox from CSC

11-21 received letter in mailbox from NVC

So unfortunately, it really does vary quite a bit

It seems to be moving quick,

New tracking number,

They said they will do a security check them mail it out to the embassy,

it seems although VSC slower getting approvals out just now they are WAY quicker getting things to NVC

oh wow, my NOA2 was also on the 20th, and from vermont...i also got a touch on the 21st, hopefully my petition is with yours at NVC!!!

I'm going nuts!!! How long until the embassy receives my petition. NVC has still not received my petition and it was approved at CSC on October 29th. What's the deal...anyone have any clues as to what is happening? Please tell me!

The only thing you can do is to keep calling. The same thing happened to me. I was approved on 10/18 and NVC didn't receive it until 11/16..I just kept bugging CSC & NVC. Good luck!

I called both CSC and NVC today. CSC says no they haven't sent it to NVC...give it another month...Arghhhhh! NVC says no they have no record of it being received, call back again next week that it may take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks and up to 90 days. Aggggggggh! This is the 4th week...I feel like Charlie Brown going for the kick and having Lucy jerk the football out from under him. Geezzzzzz! Good news is that Kamel received all my paperwork and the I-134 I sent. He's just needing word from the embassy. I thought the biggest wait was over with and it would move a little quicker once the NOA2 came. We are still hoping for our January 28th wedding on the beach, Insha'allah! I'm waiting NVC...but I will be calling and bugging you again next week.

Hi,

I just got off the phone with the lovely people at NVC. We got email notice of NOA2 on Nov 20th. NVC says that they've already received the application and they've entered it into the system. The lovely lady I spoke with said I should call back on Thur & it'll probably have been sent. Very helpful people there, even if they are hard to get ahold of.

It takes a while for the petition to get from CSC to NVC. My NOA2 was 27th August and NVC sent it to the consulate on 1st October. NVC don't keep petitions very long so they probably received it from CSC around 28th September which is a full month. Yours should be getting there sometime this week.

Just to keep everyone's hopes up... My NOA2 was 10-26. I just called the NVC once again today and was told that my case has already been received and left 11-21 for the consulate in Guayaquil. I had called NVC on 11-19 and at that point they said they hadn't received it, so... at least things seem to be moving really quickly through NVC.
