Very light on trick-or-treaters this year... weather wasn't a factor. I guess most are going to parties these days...

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I voted for "I'll eat it myself" only because there was no option for the hubster eating it. He is quite thrilled that we have so many kitkat's and twix left over.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

Ah yes.... I guess I meant "by myself" in the general sense of the word... as in, it's fair game for anyone in my house!

Sorry!

About ten groups of kids came to our door. When it started winding down, I started letting the kids take as much as they wanted and we were only left with boxes of raisins and maybe a few pieces of chocolate. I put the raisins in French toast and the few pieces of chocolate left I split with my husband. I never buy over two bags of candy and so "leftover candy" is not a problem in our house.

I also put that I would eat it myself, since El Preggo cannot resist the lure of candy. However Ill wind up giving some of it away, albiet in Christmas stockings. Add that option to the poll LOL "Save for next holiday as backup"

I brought the huge bowl full that I had left to work this morning and when I left today @ 4:30 there was only a few pieces left! My kids have enough of their own candy and I didn't want the temptation.

I've actually recycled Halloween candy! My kids don't eat a lot of sweets (by their own choice) so we always have a ton, with leftovers and their own loot. I always go through and purge the cupboards this time of year... stuff that can recycled goes in the bowl... the rest gets thrown away.

The mother-in-law bought a bunch of Halloween candy and we barely got any trick-or-treaters. So there's a bunch of chocolate that I refuse to eat - she's telling me I'm too picky. I think she's upset because she's worried about eating it all and gaining a few pounds

What do you guys think of older trick'or treaters? I got a few that were at least 16 or 17 years old, kinda weird IMO.

Yes - we had a few of those too. My 12-year old wanted to go with one of her friends.. it's more social than it is candy-grabbing. My 15-year-old stayed home and answered the door for the first year ever.

I think 12 is fine. I think once you get past the age of 13, especially if you look mature, it tends to be kinda weird.

My daughter went last year (she was 15) but only because her step-sister was visiting from Germany and had never been trick-or-treating... (she was 17)... it was fun for them.

I agree tho, as a rule, 13 is prob the max age...
