We have arrived!! We took the route from Tampa, FL--->Macon, GA--->Paducah, KY---->Overland Park, KS... 4 new tires later (as ours sucked! thanks Charles), one cracked windshield, and one drugged kitty, we are finally here. phew!

Are you going to re-name your cat Toto now?

Oh, the windshield crack is due to just some rock that hit us in TN. We have a mobile service coming here today, and after that - more exploring! (and setting up local bank, driver's licenses, car registration, etc etc.)

I do love the hills here and while the city is ultra-squeaky clean, I don't feel as though I am in a fake city (if that makes sense). The houses arent all cookie cutter same style and the roads seem well maintained. I can't wait for our apt to be ready on Friday, then I can settle in a bit more.

Charles - it registered 42 degrees on my car temp - that's not bad, I just have to do more shopping - did I hear snow is in our immediate future?

interesting, it registered 31 in my car this morning.

keep in mind we are north of her and in the country, so it being cooler by 10 degrees isn't surprising either. the urban effect can add to the temp where she is also.
