A few weeks ago I got the Interview notice for my wife. Basically it just stated her interview date, some required vaccine information and listed a collection of documents they have received. But after reading many of the posts we thought she would receive her packet in phil where it would contain more forms needing to be filled out.

She never received any packet in phil? So I emailed her the notice i received in the USA and she used it for her medical exam. But now her interview date is next week and she still has not received her pakcet and we don't know if there are any other forms she needs to take to the interview.

Her visa is a CR1 and we have a immigrations lawyer. Our lawyer does not no much about the phil embassy process. However, the lawyer filled out all our information here and her got to the interview.

The interview appointment letter mentions dictates we follow the instruction on the USE website. The main thing i get from the web site other than a required medical review, which my wife attended a few days ago, is a DS-230 and that everyone must fill one out. I know our lawyer completed her DS-230 and sent it in, but will she need a different one when at the interview?

Anybody know what forms are required for a CR1?

If you still have not send a copy of the packet 4 that you received for her interview to your wife, I suggest you scan it and have her print it out to take it with her at the time of her interview. The DS230 that you already filled out will be transferred from NVC to USEM, thus your wife do not need to bring the DS230 form with her. The DS230 part II will be signed in front of the CO.

The packet 4 states for your wife to bring the ff: birth certificate, marriage certificate, police certificates (NBI and from her local precincts), financial support documents, proof or evidence of ongoing relationship, proof of her medical at SLEC, 2x2 pics (bring 4), annulment documents (if any).

Let me know if you have any further questions for her upcoming interview.

Me too. I havent received the packet 4 here in the philippines. My hubby's gonna send me (next week) the packet he received from NVC.

The problem is my brother didn't receive a packet. I looked her medical and interview up on the site. I know you need the appointment letter for the guard at the embassy. I hope she gets it monday. I can print it off the site but I don't think that will flow. I just spoke to her and told her to call DHL again to see if they have it. Hoping monday ST. Lukes has it. Geesh, talk about cutting it close.

I just called DOS and asked about CR1 going to the interview without the original Packet 4- Appointment letter that should have been directly sent to the beneficiary. I was advised that it is OK to scan, email and have the beneficiary print it out to be presented to the guard at the door, pre-screener and/or CO. What's important is for the beneficiary to be there at the scheduled date with all the necessary documents for the interview.

That's a relief :dancing: My husband still has not received his either. :bonk:

My husband received the packet last Oct. 20 and since I am planning to go for an early medical, I let him fedex it to me. I just received the packet from NVC last Oct. 31, after the 2nd day of my medical. The contents of the packets were just the same. :) (2 pages of appointment letter and the checklist of all the documents needed for the interview)

Thanks all.

I don't understand why it takes so long in the first place but also seems more difficult than it should be.

Even after paying a reputable immigrations lawyer to handle the paper work it is still confusing.

But hey as long as she gets here right? YEA!

Only 1 more month and she will be in my arms again.

And we can put this in our past and move to our future!

For all those in my shoes,

keep your chins up

keep each other hearts safe

and always remember to smile:)

Best of luck to us all!!!
