Hmmmmm.....in order for the pumpkin to stay, Waiver #367890432789 must be filed with the local Holiday Board and then sent to the National Calendar Center to review the appropriate dates and reason for use and THEN to the Department of Avatar Appropriateness for scanning. The user will be notified within 527 days pending administrative review!!!!!

 I needed that. I just got off another one of those stupid Ombudsman teleconfrence calls. How infuriating!! Makes me wanna petition to import a pumpkin just to see what sort of results Id get. Ill send in pictures of myself and the pumpkin taken in front of various landmarks. My receipt from the grocery store where I purchased the pumpkin, etc.

 I LOVE it .... it would be like those commercials with the "Traveling Gnome". Those always crack me up.

But I wonder how the biometrics would be done for the pumpkin. Wouldn't that be like sitting on a copier and make a photocopy of your bum?

Wow what a great Friday Thread. Love it. Sorry but I can't take off my mask that is me everyday!

Today is great as it is Hasan's first day at work. I am very excited as he is also. He started saying this morning that he wants to find a part time job also and I explained that is not happening. I work two jobs and we are living great off that and that his income is to pay for his car and then what is left from that 1/2 for us and the other 1/2 for his children in Jordan. I knwo that he will find that he is tired after working and that the second job thing will not be brought up again. Iwas like heck it was hard enough for you to find work this time what makes you think that you can find something that you can pick the hours.

Yeah for the family parties this weekend.

Hope everyone else has a great weekend and will wait to see what Jakie's adventure was!

He can't get a second job....when is he going to have time to spend with you!!!! :protest:

I'm sure we are all going to be expecting Jackie to spill the beans as soon as she gets back!

Jenn- How much studying can one girl do??????

cover-oct-2005.jpg

3_3_103.gif

I must say this is THE WORST way to spend one's vacation time! :crying: They recommend about 400 hours of study time, and I think I'm at 325 at this point, including all of the time I've put in this week. 400 hours is really a LOT of time. I don't know how people with kids get through these exams. Well, there aren't all that many women in the field, I guess that says something.

Sigh, ok back to it!

Wish I could join in the turkey discussion instead. :(

It is soo worth it to do this now and get it out of the way before you have kids!!! I spent every waking moment studying for the CPA exam, though back in the old days when I took it you had to take all five parts at once and now you can take them peacemeal. Kids have it easy these days I tell ya!

For me this weekend will be busy receiving guests, mom and dad come back from their cruise and then it's party time.:dance: Grandma is turning 99 and we are giving a big party. she has a friend who is 98 and has a birthday on Nov 1 (grandma is the 4th) so they celebrate together. Last year the friend wanted to dance in the restaurant where we held the party and was looking for willing old men! She is too cute. This year we are having it at the house so we can invite more people.

Maggie one more year and isn't she eligible to be on the Smuckers Label with Willard Scott?

Thanks for the reminder. I need to get in touch with them to find out how to set that up. Now I'm trying to find out how to get music from the early 00's. Think it would be fun to play at the party.

Doodle: you are a genius. :D I got the idea to call the city council and see if someone would show up at the party this weekend. They are looking for someone that is available during the party hours and will call me back this evening.:dance: Won't dad be surprised?? or he will swear never to leave me in charge of anything again!

Actually, no. I was in line at the drugstore today and the roll of candy spoke to me. I certainly couldnt let someone else buy that talking roll of candy. Nevermind the bowl full of leftovers Ive got sitting next to the couch LOL.

Sarah, you are so predictable its laughable. I see the cud chewers around here decided to lift their tails again. Whatever. Make up your soap operas about my intentions and sense of self. You do not know me or anything about my life. Its so easy to sit and respin the same old tired "I'm supposed to think like Oprah" mentality. If you haven't experienced something you really have no sense of the reality of it. No, Sarah, you do NOT understand. You do NOT understand that YOU are equally ABUSIVE. You just use your words instead of your hands. Its all the same. This was discussed in a group session I attended while working through all this. People like you are just as destructive as physical abusers. I've read some pretty foul and blatant violations of the TOS on this site in this thread alone, yet those who habitually violate it are left to flame and giggle. This site was I thought meant to share information. I asked someone to share mine so those who are in similar situations have something to reference. And there are some of us out here. Life isn't black and white, even for Dr. Phil. So what if I posted my experience. It gave another side of reality off the yellow brick road, yet very possible for anyone reading this, and some just can't handle the possibility that a couple CAN work through something like this. For those remarks about my husband being after a green card... think twice before you stick your foot in your mouth. It can happen to any of us. None are immune. THERE IS NO HAPPILY EVER AFTER UNLESS YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN. So cud munchers, scurry around bleating and flaming some more while the board moderators turn their biased eyes away. Bask in your own ugliness of your non-abusive natures.

For the people here with real minds and hearts, ignore this. It wasn't meant for you. Now if for the millionth time if someone would close my ID I would appreciate it.

WOW Jean..you judge the words of someone who finds it sooo unbelievable that you would stay with an abuser (Sarah) to the actions of the actual abuser (your husband who went to JAIL due to his abuse) ans being the SAME????. Unfortunately this alone helpts to make sense why you find it so easy to excuse his behavior. May God keep you safe for you are on a dangerous road.
