June, July, and August are popular travel months and cost more than April, May, September and October. You may have to adjust your vacation plans to your budget.

I have travelled to the Philippines during different times of the year (different country, but same region). The cheapest I've ever gone was in Feb and the most expensive was in December right before Christmas. My tickets have ranged from $900 to over $2000 depending on when I went. Your departure and return day of the week can also make a big difference. Last December, a 1 day departure difference for us was a difference of over $400 per person.

Yes it's true...it depends on the time of year you fly. I used travel to Thailand right around Feb to May time frame. I got my ticket (round trip) right around $800+ from San Fran to BKK; and that was back in March of this year. I searched online too and I also go through local travel agency offices.

I just got back from Jakarta, the best rates were EVA, still around $1050 tho.

Hi guys.. I'm just wondering where to get the cheap airline tickets. I'm planning to go back to my home country (Indonesia) around June next year. I checked online and the price is around $1500 and up. That's wayyy to expensive for me :(

I found Orbitz or Travel Supermarket are quite cheap....and as most of the people here have said...it all depends on the time of year that you fly.....even which day of the week can make a huge difference in price.

I also found when searching for my flights that some return flights are cheaper than a single one way ticket......good luck...hope you find something soon.... :jest:

Thanks for the replies! I really appreciate it.. :D

Yeah I know even one day can make a huge difference.. around $500 and up. :(

I did check on the orbitz and cheaptickets, but most likely those websites are the same.. what i mean about the same is the difference between prices are not that much.

As i mentioned, I will go around June next year, I understand that many people are going to their home country for summer vacation, so i guess that's why the prices are so high.

I think I will just contact the travel agent, I hope they will give me good price

Try Airfare.com........Ive always found alot cheaper flights there when I was travelling back and forth to England. Perhaps it can help you as well.

Ive actually got flights from the USA to England for between $500-$700 but in order to get those rates even now....you have to book usually a month or two in advance.

Good luck

Ahh OK . Air France is having a great sale right now but you have to book by Nov 7 and I don't know if there are any deals to Indonesia. I found a R/T to Paris for $560.00.

Its hard now no matter which site you go to to find relatively "cheap" airfare.....what a shame......isnt it?

My husband and I have not been able to go back to England for a visit in 2 yrs.........sighs............mainly because he cant get enough time off from work.....but also because the price of 2 adult tickets and then the price for a toddler (alittle more than half of what an adult ticket costs) just gets wayyyy to expensive. I think the last time I check for a flight to England (manchester airport) it was about $2700 for all 3 of us to go.....:crying:

Sharri

Ohhhh to catch those "specials" its sortof hard (in my humble opinion) because they sell so quickly. It seems you almost have to have an inside scoop on when an airline is going to have a major "special fare"........ugh!

I hope you all can eventually visit England again soon :( As for the fare sales, just sign up with the airline. So, maybe you can sign up for British Airways and get a heads up when they are going to have a good fare.

Also, if you're searching multiple times for different fares, make sure to clear out your cookies pretty regularly. A lot of sites save your search information (ever notice it remembers your travel destinations and dates?) and they will jack up the price out of nowhere if you're not careful.

The usual airline ticket's price from USA to Indonesia (Jakarta), is about $1300-1500.. :o

My friend contacted her travel agent in Seattle,CA, She got a very good deal.. The price was only $995, it was very cheap comparing the usual prices. She told me the phone number of her travel agent. I hope they will give me a good deal
