In question #11 on the DS-230 its asking for a address for the Permanent Resident card to be mailed. My question is that we put N/A for this question since its the same address for question #10. Does this sound right to everyone here to put N/A? Also in question #16 its says if spouse parent is dead to write the date of death. Can we also put N/A here or leave it blank or does it matter what we put? Please help..!!

Personally I think that it is better not to leave any field blank coz people are getting RFE for silly things (e.g for leaving the work phone field blank)..... and getting an RFE causes a delay in the process and adds more  frustration to our lives.

Yeah I know what you mean but on my defense am not leaving it blank but just adding N/A as the answer. Am really having a big issue about this DS-230 form really because as you said there are lots of people getting RFE and I don't want to be another one. Please if anyone can tell me what they put for this answer on the form. Thank you guys!

you better put the same address in #11 as you did on #10 and you will not have any problems..and what about parents death I left empty field and it was ok for them firts time I send DS230 ..Good luck

For questuion 11, I wrote "Same as item 10" for both the address and the phone number. That, i think, is better. I wrote N/A, where it says about the death of teh parent. Good luck!

whatever i have on #10, i still wrote the same thing on #11. I don't trust N/A on that part. Reminder: NEVER leave anything blank, write N/A or NONE instead.

My DS-230 hasn't been accepted yet, as they wanted my Husband's PR card.

However I put N/A in question 11, was never questioned by them.

The bottom line here is:

- Fill all blank fields with information you can answer even if it is redundant.

- If you can't answer a question type: N/A or None.

It is known that NVC process is not consistent and it depends in a big portion on the reviewer, personally I had few blank fields which NVC never cared about or noticed. Be safe, follow VJ friends recommendation here. :pop:

Q # 3 in DS-230 is asking about my name in Native Alphabet. I switch to Ukrainian language on my keyboard - but it won't type anything in the form.

Should I just write that in later when i print out the form?

Sure that's no problem, it's ok to write in the fields

We actually wrote DO NOT KNOW in anything that had to do with Andre's dad, other then his name.

I didn't write N/A cause he had a father and the questions are applicable.

I didn't write NONE cause he does have a place of birth, a birthdate, and a date of death, we just don't know what the answers are.

Thus, the DO NOT KNOW. Ours flew through without any issues.
