Ahhh... :reading:

Ok lets see if I've got this right.. OD = Over Drive or 4th gear, use it if I need more power (eats more fuel) e.g pulling a load or running up lots of hills? D is what I should use around the town/city (saves some fuel) for everyday driving?

I will have to look at the manual when I have some spare time.

Thank you both for your help!

No, no. Overdrive for every day driving; that gives your car the ability to shift into fourth gear. Drive for hauling something or for getting the car up an icy steep driveway, i.e., relatively short-term uses.

Ok so I got it back to front!.. I use OD all the time and use D if am pulling something? Well that explains why the car wasn't quite the same today as I drove to work, sounded kind of different!

Really I will look at that manual sometime.. I took it out of the first day and looked at the picture on the front.. that picture told me a 1000 things.. just not what OD or D does! :jest:
