Hey people, I already received the NOA2 approval. I was wondering if its possible for my fiancee to go to the interview in Manila without her passport. The reason why I am asking is because there is misspelling on her Birth certificate. And she is getting the run around in obtaining her passport. She lives in the Philippines. Is there anything she can do get her passport quicker. Also can she do her medical and interview without a passport? She is in panic mode now. What can we do?? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

She is required to have her PP when she does the medical at St. Lukes. They will take it and forward it to USEM.

Not that it matters. But she isn't required to have her PP for the interview. They will already have it.

Have her get an "affidavit of discrepancy" for her NSO BC. She can expedite the PP for extra pesos.

Misspelling and mistakes on BCs in the Philippines happens almost more often than not!!!

tell your fiancee not to panic. You just got an approval notice,no packet 3 yet.which,if i'm not mistaken will contain her medical & interview schedules. We got approval notice January '07 & the medical was late April '07.Of course, not all cases are the same, yours might come in faster, but this might give you a rough estimate of waiting time. About, her BC wrong spelling..she could go

to an NSO office & ask how she could correct her name ..These days, one could get passport in the Phils. for just a day for a higher fee(they have like, one day, 3 days, 1 week, depends on how soon u need ur passport.)...GOOD LUCK to U!!

She needs her passport for Medical.after her medical they'd forward her passport to the embassy (with your other papers) ,so she doesnt bring passport to the embassy for interview.

Tell ur fiancee not to panic passport is very important all she need to do is work hard for it u still have a time in making it correct its just so easy for her if its the DFA who misspell it if u really directly see it wrong then DFA will change it without any pay but if she just have her passport longtime ago even if DFA is the one who get it wrong or mis spell it u need to pay again for the passport fee. If their is any mistake in her documents for the spelling of her name she need to go to a lawyer and have the correction in her name and seal it or notary then she can go back to DFA. She need to work it soon now and im sure she wi;;l be finish before one month.

Just write me back and i will answer if i have something to help with regards passport thing..she can do overtime it is only two working days for 750 pesos only before i am not sure for now how much it is for the costs.

God bless to both of you and tell ur fiancee not to panic and just be ready with all the papers she neeed to do.
