Ok, so I got a RFE, asking for a few more things, then at the end it said that my joint sponsor doesnt meet the poverty guidelines and said I need another JS. Well, thats easy cause we already have someone who is above the PG, but my question is this....

when filing out the form for the new JS, do they tick that they are the only joint sponsor, or the second JS (as the other joint sponsor doesnt make enough, they should be wiped, shouldn't they?)This is for the I-864 form.

Any help would be appreciated!

You fill out another 864 for the SAME sponsor that you had before the RFE. Then you fill out an 864A which is the add-on who your NEW sponsor fills out. This is the co sponsor, so you wouldn't tick that they are the only sponsor.

I should note this is only my opinion, this is how I did it and received advice to do this - but I have yet to be approved.

A I-864A is just a contract with a household member... for example, if you have a sponsor and need a co-sponsor and that co-sponsor is living in ONE house with the first sponsor, THAN they sign I-864A. But if your sponsor and co-sponsor don't live in the same household the co-sponsor has to fill out I-864, there is a box to check on that form that says "I am the pettitioner"(which would be your husband) than there is one "I am the only joint sponsor" for your first co-sponsor and if you need more than one co-sponsor you check the box right under it saying "I am the ____ first ____second of two joint sponsors".

What I did ( got an RFE because of the same stuff) was, I had my husband fill out I-864 again like we did the first time, than I had my co-sponsor sign and fill out a I-864 checking the "I'm the only joint sponor" box. I send off the RFE a few weeks ago and it shows up online that they got the requested papers and keep working on my case.

Good luck.

Oh, I should also add that this is only my opinion, this is how I did it.

I-864A is only if they live in the same household...if they don't, it needs to be I-864.

Unless two sponsors are part of the same household, you have one sponsor only. They provide an I-864 form for themselves only. I-864a is for an additional household member of the sponsor.

Yes, that is correct about the household thing, slipped my mind - thanks. Our sponsor did live in the same household hence our filing like that.
