Philadelphia as a POE?

Anyone not a US citizen have any tips or comments about entering the US through Philadelphia? Are they are a hard city to pass through to get into the states? Any other recommendations of any other POE's?

My son and I came through Philli on a visit while we were in the process of our K1/K2 visa.... We had no probs at all , but just incase they asked for it I had lots of proof of ties to the UK with me , things like hospital n dental appointments/ letters from work and school showing a return date for us both/ leters from solicitor showing an upcoming court date/ lease on appartment and anything else I could think of

I answered any questions that they asked me . how long were we staying , was it buisiness or pleasure and what was the address we were staying at ..... that was it ..... all the worry for nothing , though I have heard some people have had it rough

My man had a really bad experience here in philly last year-he was denied entry but he had overstayed on the VWP by 2 days-they treated him like #######. They didn't even ask to see proof of his return-they just sent him back on the first flight out-they obviously they didn't think he was returning to Ireland(which he was).

As the other vjer mentioned-just make sure you have tons of proof that you will be returning. You should be fine as long as you have what they are looking for. I am not trying to alarm you-just make sure that you arrive here well prepared.

Are you coming in for a visit, or for good? They can be tough sometimes, if you are on a visit, but if you're coming in for good, then its not a problem. Just takes a long time with them,depending on the day.

My husband had a connection through philly, both as a visitor (prior to being married, or engaged) and to activate his K3. He was given the "third degree" when coming to visit, but had info with him, and had nothing but smiles and good wishes when he activated the K3. Luckily, he had a few hours layover, coming home so he didn't miss his flight. It took him almost 2 hours to get through.

Philly are one of the most notorious ariports for horrible immigration staff. If you have another route, go for it as generally everything about Philly is unpleasant in my experience. The only time they have been nice to me is when I now pass through with a GC.
