Congratulations to all who got their approvals!! That's so wonderful!!

We haven't heard anything from any of the papers, no touches since Jan 13th, and that must've been someone dropping the papers on the floor and picking them up

@bichon82 why did you file for EAD before you filed for AOS?

im pretty sure you cant change the date for the interview unless later than the date you got. it depends on how busy your local office is!

There is a mistake in my timeline! I will change it immediately. We filed for AOS and EAD together so 11-02 should be 11-23 actually. I made an infopass appointment for January 29th as everytime i go there it's completely EMPTY! So hopefully they will be nice and change our date.. it's worth the try I guess. I still don't understand why things are taking so long though as we have not got a touch on the EAD since mid december. Auggghh it's just so annoying not to be able to work. If we had only known we would have done things so differently as both me and my back then fiance were living in Europe! Unfortunatly the embassy was not able to advice us well and we took this long a tedious route.

As of tonight, our AP is finally in the online system, and it says we were approved January 23rd!!

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On January 24, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status.

Just got notification of EAD and AP were approved yesterday!

Wohoo!

Oh, looks like we sent our AOS package the same day as you guys and they received it the same day as they received yours as well - hopefully this means we'll also get our EAD and AP approved within a few days! I'm getting excited now! We need some excitement after their mess-up with our medical... Thanks for updating your great news, everyone!

(No update on either our AP or EAD just yet... just checked...)

Just received 2nd e-mail stating EAD card production has been ordered, this time the date was 1/24/08. The file, of course, was also touched on 1/24/08.

AP arrived today it was approved Jan 16,2008. Multiple entry.. Just wonder why I have 2 copies ?

It is nice to be touched! Just keep praying for no RFE. I felt the same way everyday when i checked the update scared for RFE ...But there is one major thing we can do PRAY

GOOD NEWS! Not about tracking down the medical (yet )

I just checked my case status online and it said my AP was approved on January 23! They finally updated it!

OH, I'm so happy!!! This is what we were hoping for first!!!

Maybe I will get my EAD soon, too.

We needed some good news.

Can't wait to tell my husband. He'll be so happy too.

Ed*Riza, it is normal to have 2 original AP documents, and more than that, if you plan to travel with them, make sure you take both of them with you! I read on other forums that sometime the country where from you're flying back to the States might ask you to give them one original; DO NOT. Have normal copies prepared, it is a document issued by USA government and you need both copies when you return. And yes, as far as I understand, USA POE may keep one of your originals AP, to introduce you in the system (read it somewhere here on VJ, so it's folklore, not my own experience).

But anyway, why do you care about AP? YOU WILL SOON HAVE YOUR GC IN HAND! )))
