How do you guys know that AP or EAD is touched?

I have a profile set up at www.uscis.gov where I check my case status every day like a lunatic.

So do I! But I mean how do you know it is touched? lol What changes are there? Sorry my question wasn't clear...

When you first log in, before you click on a case number, there is a 'last updated' column with dates in it. The date changes if the file was accessed (touched) by USCIS.

Ohhh, okay. I guess I have to sign up to see the date then. I usually just look for my case number but I never signed up for an account.

If you sign up, not only will you get to see the dates when you log in, but you can also turn on e-mailing. They will send you e-mail notifications when statuses change.

Yay! Congrats to all those with recent AOS/AP/EAD approvals! Keep on bringing them USCIS!

I'm hoping, judging by others' timelines, to get the AP approval in a week or so. I'm just really paranoid because we want to plan a trip soon and they still haven't entered our AP into the computer system. Being the paranoid person I am, I keep worrying they lost it or something.

Case update for me (although I'm sure some of you saw my post.) The RFE is the medical, which I'm not even supposed to have to get, since it's not a year old yet! They don't have it in their files so asked me to do it again (ugh! Another $300 for a file that is misplaced through no fault of our own? No thank you, if we can avoid doing and paying for another medical we will!) Based on this happening to other people as well, we are going to try to contact the doctor in Canada, as well as contact our congressman and see if they can help us get this problem solved and locate the file - it's got to be somewhere. Will try to remember to keep you updated!

I received the AP in the mail today, 7 days after the approval date. Got an email yesterday that EAD card has been ordered again.

I got a CRIS saying:

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On January 23, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this

You should get it soon...and don't worry too much. Ours didn't show up online until the day after it was actually approved...
