My hubby will be going to Census Office on Monday, and I have ordered from their E-census site. Geesh, it cost $25 for one copy and has no guarantee that it will be a correct one.

Just wanted to give an upodate to everyone just in case they come across the same issue I had...

CENOMAR is a type written certification by NSO. In my case, there was a typo on my second name LYLAH, placing N instead of H. In order to correct this, my husband brought with him my original passport, original INS Naturalization Certificate and our original long form marriage certificate to show the correct spelling of my second name. This was clearly an error made by NSO, therefore, there was no extra payment or going through any civil courts to correct this. Mine was corrected in 3 days.

Just a very important note: If you can prove them that they are wrong and provide them all original legal documents to show that, no one can take advantage of you and pay hundreds or even thousands of pesos. When you go through any government offices for any documents, make sure to double check your documents for any errors before leaving the location.

Good luck to all of us folks!

With the embassy asking for it for the K-1s I would recommend doing it just as a safety precaution. I believe that "more is better"

Its is required CENOMAR also for the K3 visa? Since I was already Married, do i need that kind of document? Is there anyone can tell that i will need to add CENOMAR in my check list for upcoming USEM Interview?

Alls I can tell you is a friend of my [K3] was on AR for 2 months because of USEM doing a CENOMAR check.

CRs/Ks/IRs all should get CENOMAR or CEMAR.

We did [K3] and didn't have problems.

Also a good thing to have as they show past and present marriage.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Not Rina but doesn't matter if they asked or not as there isn't any standard procedure for asking.

All goes by case by case and the other evidence submitted.

Also they tend to investigate older pinay with a kid as there's a chance they have been married and they're trying to hide such.

You can get a CENOMAR on line or at the main office in Quezon City if the Local NSO office is giving you problems.

My wife had problems with her NSO local office also and I ordered her BC online.

It would appear that Manila is requiring the CENOMAR for all these types of visas now.

I don't understand this. If you're married and petitioning your spouse for either or CR/IR visa and you got married in the Philippines, how can you get a Certificate of No Marriage(CENOMAR) from the NSO?

That is why they tell you not to get CEMAR instead of CENOMAR..

Hi! Do we need a Cenomar even if we applied for a CR-1? CENOMAR is a certificate of no marriage, and how can we get one if we're married? whats the CEMAR form that you are talking about? My interview will be next week and i don't want to be missing any documents.

Thanks.

Once u are married, obviously the National Statistics Office have a record of it so instead of giving u a certificate of no marriage (CENOMAR), they will give u the CRS form. 5 Advisory on Marriages.

As for those who were concerned, NO they did not ask my husband for one but I had him bring it just in case they will ask. I suggest to still have it! Hey, you'll never know....

Yeah your right, we are working on getting one now. One thing that surprize me is that they asked your husband for a photo album. Wow! Guess I'll ask my wife to bring one too. Thanks.
