Unemployment List

This is a list of people(real name not necessary) who can not get a job because of illegal aliens taking those jobs. I would like to limit it to the following:

1) Must be a person you know, or once removed, meaning a friend of your friend.

2) The person must be seeking a full time daytime position.

3) Must be seeking work in "the jobs that American do not want" -Farming, Landscaping, Hotel, etc...

Why the list? Because I personally believe it is inaccurate to say illegals are "taking American jobs away from americans". I for one have never met a person that said they can not get a job because of illegals in the above industries. I ask that you be honest in your replies.

I do not believe that your question serves the purpose you set forth in your explanation.

If an illegal alien has a job in America, it is, by its very nature, a job taken from an American. Now whether or not an American "lost" the job to the illegal is moot. The fact is that we have positive unemployment therefore there are Americans out of work, presumably more than there are jobs to go around, or so the theory goes. That being the case, then any employment of an illegal denotes a job that is not held by an American, therefore an American out of work due to the job being staffed by an illegal. That's the technical side of my argument. In reality I know there are plenty of Americans who choose not to work and instead live off of others. To me this is undefendable, unforgivable and shameless. It is one of the biggest problems we have in this country. To that end, both problems of social welfare reform and illegal immigration need to be addressed in full if there is to be a solution to this crisis.

My direct answer to your question is that I have myself hired illegals to help me move. I could find no one else to do it on such short notice. My actions were not motivated by price but by necessity. After hurricanes Erin, Opal, Ivan and Dennis I witnessed many illegals working to rebuild many of the local homes damaged by the storms. Why where they doing the work instead of legitimate local contractors? Price! Did the contractors lose business because of the competition from illegal immigrant workers? You bet! Were any of those contractors friends of mine? Yes.
