1st..thanks...i always try to be honest....

2nd..BS to the red part... your cheerleading didn't work yesterday & it's not working today.

3rd..i'm not posting a list of names, coz i have no right to put peoples names on a public board.....you may start by listing 1/4-1/2 of the high school kids in your area. or any of the "unskilled & uneducated" Americans you were trashing yesterday.

hows the countdown going?

2) Yes, actually, my "cheerleader"(we will use your word) is indeed working. Every day I reach people by dispelling various myths. And if I personally do not convince them, i at least motivate them to find their own answer rather than letting other people tell them what to think. If I did not sincerely believe my "cheerleading" was makign a difference, I would not be wastign my time with it.

3) Note I said you could use an imaginary name if you wanted. But I am sorry, if you were an employer, you would understand that you can not staff a landscaping company with high school kids...sure you can augement your workforce, but the idea that we need to save all our farming, landscaping, hotel worker jobs for our highschoolers is absolutely ridiculous.

I have never trashed any american that was not garbage to begin with.

Seems to conflict a bit with the member name you've chosen for this site...

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

I know of 2 people.

The first is a guy that started a tiling business. He was VERY good at it. The second was my old lawn care person.

Thanks JohnK for responding to the topic. Can you possible elaborate on both people. I mean, I know countless guys who failed a starting their own business for multiple reason. How was illegal aliens affecting his business? Why did your old lawn person loose the job?

Even gentlemen must engage in unseemly behaviour when they combat those who are not. A gentleman defendign a lady's honor is "trashing someone who is garbage" would you not agree?

Our neighbor across the street works as a night time security officer. A few months ago he told us that he was fired from his job. I can't recall exactly what he said was management's basis for firing him. He said, however, that he thinks the main reason he was fired was so that management can hire "illegals" for a much lower pay rate. (This made me think .."aren't there labor laws about this practice?")

I cannot attest to the veracity of my neighbor's claims about the reason for him losing his job. But it does make me wonder how many people have lost their jobs and thought it was because of management's desire to hire an illegal in their place.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

They both owned their own business and both where unable to compete with people willing to work for sub-standard wages.

I'm bloody British and I have problems getting understood sometimes. My "favourite" is when I'm asked what dressing I would like on my salad. If I ask for ranch the average server thinks I'm saying "raunch". I don't think Kraft make a Raunchy Dressing, perhaps there is a potential market there for it. *ponders*

Oh god, I have that problem too!! Waitressing is really not the job for someone who can't pronounce the word 'ranch' in a way that people can actually understand. I dread having to say that word! :crying: (Never occurred to me that anyone thought I was saying 'raunch', mind you!! ).

Oh, and so as not to offend the OP by failing to contribute satisfactorily: no, I don't know of anyone who's lost a job to an illegal immigrant, or been unable to get a job because an illegal immigrant already has it, or whatever...

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

I'm genuinely surprised at some people's resistance to stay on topic. Maybe my perspective is too simple but this topic can go two ways:

a ) Data will show that VJ members don't know anybody whose job has been taken by an illegal alien; or

b ) Data will show that VJ members have actually encountered/know people whose jobs have been taken by an illegal alien.

I cannot see why this would be considered as an illegal immigrant cheer-leading thread.
