This is a list of people(real name not necessary) who can not get a job because of illegal aliens taking those jobs. I would like to limit it to the following:

1) Must be a person you know, or once removed, meaning a friend of your friend.

2) The person must be seeking a full time daytime position.

3) Must be seeking work in "the jobs that American do not want" -Farming, Landscaping, Hotel, etc...

Why the list? Because I personally believe it is inaccurate to say illegals are "taking American jobs away from americans". I for one have never met a person that said they can not get a job because of illegals in the above industries. I ask that you be honest in your replies.

yay I can finally post this joke I just received:

TENJOOBERRYMUDS

By the time you read through this YOU WILL UNDERSTAND"TENJOOBERRYMUDS"...

In order to continue getting-by in America (our home land), we all need to learn the NEW English language! Practice by reading thefollowing conversation until you are able to understand the term"TENJOOBERRYMUDS".

With a little patience, you'll be able to fit right in.

Now, here goes... The following is a telephone exchange between maybe you as a hotel guest and call room-service somewhere in the good old U S A today......

Room Service : "Morrin. Roon sirbees."

Guest : "Sorry, I thought I dialed room-service."

Room Service: " Rye. Roon sirbees...morrin! Joowish to oddorsunteen???"

Guest: "Uh..... Yes, I'd like to order bacon and eggs."

Room Service: "Ow July den?"

Guest: ".....What??"

Room Service: "Ow July den?!?... pryed, boyud, poochd?"

Guest: "Oh, the eggs! How do I like them? Sorry.. scrambled, please."

Room Service: "Ow July dee baykem? Crease?"

Guest: "Crisp will be fine."

Room Service: "Hokay. An Sahn toes?"

Guest: "What?"

Room Service: "An toes. July Sahn toes?"

Guest: "I... don't think so."

RoomService: "No? Judo wan sahn toes???"

Guest: "I feel really bad about this, but I don't know what 'judowan sahn toes' means."

RoomService: "Toes! Toes!...Why Joo don Juan toes? Ow bow Anglishmoppin we bodder?"

Guest: "Oh, English muffin!!! I've got it! You were saying'toast'... Fine...Yes, an English muffin will be fine."

RoomService: "We bodder?"

RoomService: "Wad?!?"

Guest: "I mean butter... just put the butter on the side."

RoomService: "Copy?"

Guest: "Excuse me?"

RoomService: "Copy...tea..meel?"

Guest: "Yes. Coffee, please... and that's everything."

RoomService: "One Minnie. Scramah egg, crease baykem, Anglishmoppin, we bodder on sigh and copy .. rye??"

Guest: "Whatever you say."

RoomService: "Tenjooberrymuds."

Guest: "You're welcome"

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Yes, both farming and landscaping position that require 8+ hours of daytime work.

around here that's considered seasonal work......not full time employment. kind of a loaded question you started off with, isn't it?

Nessa,

Jokes that make fun of other people's speech impediments are in poor taste. Nevertheless, please stay on topic.

that joke isn't about a speech impediment, it's about pseudo english.

Actually, around here, many landscaping businesses work year round....in the fall they take care of leaf blowing and snowplowing in winter.

Would I insult myself? My english is not perfect, I can't pronounce several words... I would never make fun of other people's speech impediments.. It's just a joke, relax.

From the persepective of an ESL instructor who works really hard with her students on pronunciation, that joke is amusing. When taking into consideration the xenophobia and hate on this forum, it's sooo tacky. And makes me happy that I'm surrounded by people who celebrate diversity and applaud people's attempts to learn English.

but do you have enough leaves and snow to keep someone gainfully employed 40 hours a week?

Well, around here we consider full time employment as 40 hrs a week, typically 8hrs a day, 5 days a week. Part time being 4 hrs a day or less than 30 hours a week.

When you classify something as "Seasonal", it is not a "Permanent" position, nor necessarily a temporary. So, yes, you can have full time seasonal work.

But you knew that didnt you? I think you know perfectly well the type of positions I am refering to. And it is my guess that since you can not come up with a single name of a person that has lost a full time job to an illegal, you are choosing to try to nit pick at my wording of the post just to be arguementative.

Please do me the courtesy to stay on topic and only list names of people who have lost a job to an illegal. Thanks a bunch, my friend.
