Ok well California had a 5.6 quake at 8:04 pm last night and it was scary here as I am sure it was in Eygpt. I am happy to say that no damage in California either.

Really? Where was it?

It was centered on the Calaveras fault line in East San Jose. It was a 5.6 , moderate, but no damage. My guess would be that the 4.0 in egypt was hardly felt at all.

Whoa, news to me. My sister lives in Sunnyvale and she hasnt mentioned it. :o

No, I haven't, have I? I'm still smarting from being called a nutcake parent.

Earthquakes happen there. There's so many ancient sites leveled over the ages. T_T

One in particular in Wadi Rum - a *massive* military fort from roman times ... you can see the rubble scattered as far as the eye can see.


The moral of my story: Stick with someone who matches your own culture.

( This coming from an Arab who married an Arab from overseas... go figure. )

Haven't heard from my fiance since the earthquakes, but I think his cellphone has just been off for 2 days and I'm starting to freak out a little as it is very unusual to go this long without even a text message :blush: It's probably just my imagination though :whistle: Besides, according to reports no one was injured :)
