My husband was checking his arabic news online and read there was an earthquake in Helwan Egypt yesterday where he and his family are from. He called his sisters and everything is ok. The quake was a 4.0. Once I can find an english version I'll post it.

One of my sister-in-laws was on the sub way when my husband called her today (so the sub way wasn't damaged) and she said there wasn't any big damage. It just really scared them since there has never been an earthquake there.

Really? Where was it?

It was centered on the Calaveras fault line in East San Jose. It was a 5.6 , moderate, but no damage. My guess would be that the 4.0 in egypt was hardly felt at all.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

Waleed said nobody is really talking about it there as they didn't really notice it. In geology they taught us that 4.0's aren't really big and that you would have to be standing on the epicenter to really know the impact.
