I drive up to indy every few months to visit my friends because I used to live there. I bring a massive cooler and hit up trader joes, world market, and this place off of 38th st & georgetown (or close to georgetown) it's a big market starts with an S I forget the name. anyways my friend andria and I go shopping all day so I can collect goods to bring home. it takes me about 3hrs to get to indy but definately worth it. last time I got neil frozen curry bowls from trader joes and the idiot took them out of the deep freeze in the garage to get something out and left them all on the floor! I was like noooooooooooooooo that's like $20. I'm thinking about coming up again in a few weeks. does anyone in st louis know if that small british supermarket actually closed? I read something about it in july and I wasn't sure if it really did close or not.

as for the prices of sandwiches we're raising them next week...we have a tomato & mozzarella panini and fresh mozzarella went up almost $3 and I'm not getting tomatoes free from my garden anymore. I should just buy kraft american singles lol people here love that shiz

Mmmmm. Cheeeeeese. *drool* And, yes, it definitely shot up in price here too. No warning, nothing. Coulda stocked up!! LOL

I bring Canadian 2 year old cheddar and Canadian Cheese Whiz back with me too!! Kraft cheese slices are good for grilled cheese samwidjuz. There's a Whole Foods about 45 mins from here with a great cheese counter so I get all my nice cheeses from there. Wish they carried some good paté, though. I have to travel another 45 mins in the other direction for that. Sure wish we had a Wegmans. I'd also like to see what a Trader Joe's is all about, too. And I wish I could find some nice Greek feta. I have failed miserably in that quest. My Greek salad is just not the same without it.

Hmmm. I just noticed that I had a whole lot of wishes in that last paragraph. Sure hope I'm not wasting them on cheese.

And I just gotta say, Amber..... you ROCK for putting fresh tomatoes from your garden on your sandwiches. There is nothing that can compare to the taste of fresh picked tomatoes. yum
