Do I need to contact NVC before filing Adjustment of Status?

I am kind of confused on what I suppose to do next now, can someone enlighten me please?

My spouse has entered US last weekend with K-3 visa, and below is the three letters I received from National Visa Center before she took the interview at the US embassy:

9/04/2007 - AOS (Affidavit of Support) Fee

9/24/2007 - Petitioner Packet (I-864)

9/24/2007 - IV FEE AGENT

I have already replied all three accordingly. Were those papers part of the K-3 Visa process? or are they for I-130 or CR-1?

It says on the IV FEE AGENT mail that "If your intention is to adjust status with Citizen and Immigration please notify this office before taking further action." Do I need to give NVC a call before submitting Adjustment of Status for my wife?

Thanks in advance!

Yep if you dont want to continue the CR/IR process.

Then just file the AOS papers here.

Thanks for your reply...

Is there any benefit to continue the CR/IR process?

I feel so stupid for paying all that unnecessary cost... ugh!

Some people want to continue with that process and return to their country for the interview instead of going through the AOS process here. Im not sure of the fees for the CR process but for AOS is now over $1000.

Unfortunately money is something they really know how to get out of us LOL.
