Hi All!

I have just received a letter from the Hong Kong Police Dept. that they cannot Issue me my request of Police Certificate for my K1 Visa because I have a minor record. In Hng Kong Law, no matter how small your conviction is, and even if you didnt go to Court for it.. its still a conviction.

I am still waiting for a letter from the Consulate to issue me a day for an interview. I have no idea if I will get denied because of this. Has anyone had the Interview without a Police Clearance Certificate? All I have is a letter from the Police stating that I have a Record. Please help! Thanx!!! :crying:

Triple thread here.

I'll reiterate what I said in that thread:

I just looked at this link here:

http://www.police.gov.hk/hkp-home/english/...cc-overseas.htm

Are you saying that the HK police department won't issue you a "certificate of no criminal conviction" due to your minor record?

Wouldn't you then be able to authorize a disclosure of your record to the consulate instead, in lieu of the certificate?
