Hi guys-We went through this back in 2000 when I petitioned my honey from the Philippines to join me here in the U.S. on a fiance visa We did get through the process successfully but it did have a few bumps in the road before it finally happened. Beth was denied the visa at the first interview, but it went through on the 2nd go around. I went with her the second time and made sure all the i's were dotted and t's were crossed. It was a heck of an emotional roller-coaster ride for us. We thought it was the end of the road after that first interview, but God's timing is always right on time! It was well worth the wait because now we have been married 7 years, and have 2 great kids to show for it. Would have had six by now except for the fact that Beth lost four pregnancies through miscarriages. Clare is six and Isaac is one. We both wish VisaJourney was on-line back in 2000. It sure would of helped when she got denied the first time. This is just a wonderful web site. I wouldn't of know about it if it wasn't for the Washington Post article yesterday in a front page article. Thanks Visa Journey!

Peace and blessings from James and Beth in Virginia!

How very cool that you popped on, James in VA!!!

Aside from the fact that the article was slanted toward VJ and not marriage-based immigration, it would have been very nice to have spoken to families like James'!

Best of luck on the naturalization process!
