Hello guys,

I mailed my 129f to TSC on April 4, 2006. Have not received any notice from them. Nor have they cashed my check as of now. From the messages posted here, it seems people receive their first notice (NOA1??) within a week!! Should I be worried?

Also could anybody explain how do you find out your were "touched"? and what does "touched" mean? Also how do you email with TSC? Will my notice letter explain these terms and guide me how to check whether or not I am "touched".

I-751 process:

4/06/09: Mailed I-751 to VSC by Express mail

4/07/09: Received by VSC

4/17/09: Check clearance.

4/20/09: NOA1 received in mail (receipt date: 4/08/09)

4/30/09: Biometric appt. letter received (appt. on May 15th)

5/05/09: Walk-in biometric done

9/02/09: Approval Email (touch on USCUS site)

9/03/09: Approval letter received (decision date: 8/27/09)

9/09/09: Touch, but no change in status on USCIS site.

9/11/09: Green card rec'd.

Welcome to VJ.

It takes more than a week to get your NOA1. Have a look at my timeline. TSC sends all K1's to California. Touched means that your case has been looked at and the date online has changed. Once you have your receipt number you can register online to receive updates for your case.

Once they cash your check you can get your case number off the back of it. Register it here https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp and you can get updates on that site.

I didn't get my NOA1 so I called. They said it had to be 30 before they could check on it. Once the 30 days had passed I called and they sent the NOA1. That very day i received it in the mail, I got our NOA2 approval on the website.

It's been more than 30 days and we've still not received anything from the Texas office. My fiance called for an update today and he got through to a phone tree where a voice mail told him exactly what was written on the USCIS website - it takes 90-120 days to complete the K1 process.

The number he called was 1-800-375-5283. Is this normal to get a voice message or is it because today is Good Friday, a day off for govenrment offices?

I'm sure he is calling the correct number because that was the number they quoted on the website. If he's not calling the right number, does anyone know which number he should be calling for the Texas office?

2nd March 2006 - I-129F Sent

13th March 2006 - NOA1 & Cheque cashed

30th June 2006 - Received RFE re IMBRA

3rd July 2006 - Mailed RFE to CSC

4th July 2006 - Touched re RFE

5th July 2006 - Touched

18th July 2006 - Touched confirmed receipt for RFE. #######?! I know they received the RFE on 4th July!! Skanks!!!

17th August 2006 - NOA2 finally!!!

11th September 2006 - Package 3 sent to US Consulate (DS-230 part 1, DS-156, DS-156K)

8th October 2006 - Sent checklist to Consulate to confirm that all documents are available for interview

13th October 2006 - Medical (11:30am) - Friday 13th Aaaaaaaaaargh!!!

7th December 2006 - Interview at 10am

7th December 2006 - Consular requested "Proof of non-existence of birth certificate"

15th December 2006 - Courier picked up "Proof of non existence of birth certficate" - what I did? I contacted my lawyer in Vietnam and asked him to search for my NON-EXISTENCE birth certificate and had him write an affidavit of his finding. What a waste of time and money!!

22nd December 2006 - K1 Approved. Finally!
