I just received my I-864 Packet with the Barcode, and have also been told that the IV Bill has been generated, but have not received it yet.

How fast do I need to send in the I-864, will it matter as long as they have not received the IV Bill yet? Or should I get it to them ASAP because it helps in the speedy processing of (blank)??

I am contemplating submitting an Employee Verification Letter from my employer, in addition to submitting required I-864 supporting documentation (copy of 2006 Tax Return + W-2)...I was jut thinking of doing this as an additional measure, although it is not required. Then again, I can just submit what I have and not wait around for the Employer letter to arrive and waste another 3-4 days, instead I can send in the I-864 now and make sure that I am in line to get my processing moving along quickly as possible...

What do you guys recommend? Am I being too careful and trying to get them additional documentation that they don't require? Or should I just provide what is required and hope they don't RFE me?

This is for my I-130. Do they wait for the IV fee to be paid, then that's when the case looks like it could really move toward a close hopefully? I know that they generate teh DS-230 after receiving the IV Fees from us...so the IV Fee is the one that's more critical than the I-864 (I think?)

Please advise, anyone who can provide some experienced input on this, greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

You are in no rush to send out I-864, because they will start reviewing your case only after they have BOTH I-864 and DS-230.

It is better to wait for that employment letter. Do not risk RFE, because that RFE would happen not right away, but after they receive ALL your documents and start reviewing your case.

Hope this makes sense.

Exactly, the I-864 is not related in any way to the IV Bill nor the DS-230. The NVC won't close the case until they have reviewed both forms anyway, so you can even send the I-864 after you send in the DS-230. It doesn't matter. Take your time with it and try to gather all the documents needed so it's a smoother process.
