Hey, I'm new here and attempting to shift through the information...maybe someone can help. My husband and I have been going through the process since last year, but as of Oct 18th his immigration visa paperwork left for ISB. We are very happy and relieved! I was wondering if anyone has any idea as to how long it will take from here on. I emailed the embassy and all I got was "it depends on the case". Not even a ballpark figure, which at least even the idiots over here will do. Does anyone have any information, even just from their experiences? I've met Pakistani's who managed to take a simple few months start to finish....even his brother's fiance' visa took less than 6months.....but we haven't been so lucky. I appreciate any help, opinions, etc. As with everyone on here, we are so tired of being apart......and he's missed our daughter's first year growing up and that's just added depression.

Hi, it will take 2-3 weeks for them to send you packet 3.5 or 4. after you send every thing back through courier, it will take atleast 6-8 weeks for them to send back the interview date. If you are lucky may me you have to wait for 4 or 4.5 months for interview. If every thing went okay in interview they can approve the visa, and issue it in 2 weeks, or they can put under admin processing, and that can take 5-6 months from Islamabad. My wife and daughter went under same time line for immigrant visa, and they are in Admin processing for 4.5 months.

I am telling you from my and this forum experience, hope fully your family wont suffer the way some of our forum members family did???

Best of luck.
