We got our AOS approved few months ago but am looking ahead for lifting condtions. I am my husbands sponsor as I filled out the affadavit of support for the K1. I recently quit my job as we moved and plan to go back to school and not work for a while. Will this affect his lifting conditions ?

I don't see anything in the guide here in VJ stating you need another support document submitted. Did you read the guide? http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...m&page=751guide

Yea, I read the guides and the I-751 itself and don't see anyway where they need proof any longer. Just wanted to make sure so when the time comes Im prepared. Thanks Jasman.

We just filed to remove the conditions for my husband. We did not have to file another affidavit of support, and there was likewise no requirement to provide proof of current employment.

Even if sponsors are legally liable for any federal means-tested assistance the immigrant receives, they can't actually require us to be employed. Government isn't THAT big yet ;)
